5/5. Iβm from France, I stop there with a friend after coming to Reading and drink a craft beer from Siren at Fox and Hounds on summer. I just coming back again in Christmas because the tap beer and shop is really nice (especially glasses π). Price for everyone. I let me seduce by DDH Ipa everytime. Always nice server/seller. Could you make Kinder in can ? This beer is blowing my mind ! π Thanks for your work. See you soon π Say hello to the barman from Fox to me, I give him your 10 pounds tap beer gift card.
Visited Friday. Had a nice time overall - very friendly atmosphere, lovely beers, clean and tidy place, but badly let down by the food.
I ordered sausage and chips for my dinner from the food area. The first sausage was pink, soft and stone cold in the middle, so I took it back. The cook apologised, comped me a curry sauce and chucked 2 fresh ones on the flat grill. A few minutes later I was called back to collect. When I got back to the table, both fresh sausages were just as undercooked as the first one.
I didn't bother complaining again, just left them untouched, so effectively paid top whack for frozen chips. I must admit, I was very dissapointed by this - cooking sausages is pretty basic stuff, and a quick probe with a thermometer would avoid this from ever happening. Not sure I'd have the confidence to order food on a subsequent visit.
The beer you serve is excellent, and I had several wonderful drinks over my 2 hour stay. I got a few cans for the fridge at home too.
My only other comment is that it gripes a bit to be asked to leave a tip on the card machine for your barman when I'm going up to order and collect my own drinks.
Overall, I'm a bit sad that I'm leaving a 2 star review, but the poor food was such a let down. Would be 4 or 5 otherwise.
[Nov 2023] Superb selection of IPAs and other beers. Lovely, friendly staff. Good job itβs not near my house, because Iβd be in there every day. Five stars πΊ π» β¦
Popped in with my daughter and her husband - what a gem of a place - fantastic choice of IPAs, Lagers, Porters and Stouts in a wonderful setting - the NIGHTSHIFT Porter is highly recommended - and today the @wingsntinz are here with THE BEST wings in sauce EVER - a place not to be missed
Took my son to Siren first time. Because of weather, we sat in the shipping containers which were surprisingly comfy. Beer selection wasn't that bad but I am not a fan of 1/3 and 2/3 pint measures. BBQ food was top notch! 01/05 - Bank β¦
Love the beers and the pizza's are great. Disappointed to find yesterday no pizzas available due to the dough not being delivered. We came back today for the nine mile bite burger menu and to be honest we were really disappointed. The β¦
2 pints and a pack of scratchings. Β£15.50 and you're prompted for a tip. Beer direct at source should not be at pub prices. Plenty of other craft breweries in the area offer better prices, better facilties, better food. It's clear the β¦
Family friendly. Great atmosphere. Lovely staff. Couple of beers and asked for a glass of milk for my 3 year old daughter. Staff refused to charge me for the milk which they didn't have to do, just shows what decent people they are. Can't recommend highly enough.
Always good to visit, great variety of on tap beers and cans. Loving the food vans. Only suggestion would be some activities/games for the kids so I could justify bringing them!
Genuinely fantastic service. Popped in on a Tuesday to get a growler filled. Bar manager went out of his way to chat and help. This is not the first over and above experience from Siren. These guys are the best.
